Drug Uses

Albenza may also be used for the treatment of cystic hydatid disease of the liver, lung, and peritoneum, caused by the larval form of the dog tapeworm.Albenza is indicated for the treatment of parenchymal neurocysticercosis due to active lesions caused by larval forms of the pork tapeworm.

How Taken

Albenza should be taken with food.

Warnings/Precautions

Albenza can cause fetal harm, therefore, you must begin working after negative testing of pregnancy.
During the therapy, because of the possibility of harm to liver or bone marrow, in the routine (control of each 2 by week) of the blood counts and functional tests of liver it must carry out.
Will have a talk to your doctor about the possible harm to the fruit if you you plan on to be pregnant thus far to Albenza or not within 1 month to complete working.

Missed Dose

If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.

Possible Side Effects

The symptoms are usually mild and resolved without treatment.

Storage

Store between 20° and 25°C (68° and 77°F).

Overdose

Seek emergency medical attention.In case of overdosage, symptomatic therapy and general supportive measures are recommended.
